We are a small family farm in north San Diego county where we breed AKC registered Anatolian Shepherd Dogs and ADGA Nigerian Dwarf Goats. When we moved to our property in 2019 we fast realized that we needed a large breed of dog to protect us and our animals from our local predators and began our search for a breed that would be able to both do the job well and be a reliable family guardian and companion. We quickly zeroed in on Anatolian Shepherds and discovered a top breeder practically in our backyard through the Anatolian Shepherd Dog Club of America's Code of Ethics Breeder's List.
We met Janet Dotson and her pack and were lucky to be able to add Sallah to our growing farm soon thereafter. Right away we knew we couldn't have just one, and Fezzik soon joined him. Coming out of the pandemic we started showing the boys in AKC conformation. Fezzik was finished his championship in just three weekends from the puppy class, going Best of Breed over specials with a new owner handler. We were hooked on both Anatolians and dog shows. We have since added four females, two that were acquired as puppies and two that came to us as adults: Kanoe, Juniper, Genie and Marian. All are working guardians who protect our goats, turkeys, chickens, peafowl and pug dogs - not to mention the neighbors and their children and pets. We do obedience training and conformation with all of them. We believe Anatolians are a versatile breed that can be both superior guardians as well as faithful companions and family members.
We are members of the Anatolian Shepherd Dog Club of America, ASDCA COE Breeder's List, Hidden Valley Obedience Club, American Dairy Goat Association and Southern California Dairy Goat Association. We volunteer with ASDCA, HVOC and SoCal DGA. We are an ADGA Plus herd and participate in linear appraisal and milk test.
